The Classic of Tea, written by the Tang dynasty scholar Lu Yu and finished in the years 760-770, is the earliest existing and the most comprehensive book about tea. About the Author
Jiping Qiu, associate professor in China Academy of Art, has been engaged in teaching and practice of painting and calligraphy for many years. He has published dozens of professional articles. He is the author of the books Chinese Paintings on Tea, The Illustrated Classic of Tea, The Art of Chinese Tea Couplets, and Painting Collection on Tea in the Song Dynasty. He is also the author of the textbook Basis of Plane Constitution. In October 2016, Jiping Qiu was awarded the Excellent Works of Tea Culture by China International Tea Culture Research Association on the first “Tea and Culture Promotion” Cup. His paintings “Stone Image of Zhuang Wanfang” and “Stone Image of Yuan'erbianyuan” are erected in the West Lake International Tea Village and the Jingshan Temple.
