About the Author

Qu Jia, born in 1955, is chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor, special expert of Zhejiang Province, winner of special allowance of The State Council, national excellent dean, national model teacher, one of the founders and pioneers of optometry in China, pioneered the “Chinese Wenzhou model of optometry education”. He is currently the president of the School of Optometry and the Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, the vice chairman of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the leader of the Optometry Group, the vice president of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and the chairman of the National Association of Optometry. He is also Director of National Optometry Engineering Technology Research Center, National Key Laboratory of Optometry and Vision Science Cultivation Base and other research institutions.
