About the Author
Xu Jianrong, a well-known art historian, art educator, calligraphy and painting appraiser, calligraphy and painting artist, is a native of Shanghai. He studied from Wang Bomin, Xie Zhiliu and Chen Peiqiu, and has long been engaged in the research of art history theory, calligraphy and painting appraisal and art education. He is a professor of art and doctoral tutor at Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.
About the Translator
Hong Xiang graduated from Xiamen University, majoring in English Language and Literature. He is the translator of Ye Shangqing’s A History of Chinese Flower and Bird Painting.
